Sympli Whitney first gained national attention in 2014 after appearing on BET’s season finale of Apollo Live, where judges Gladys Knight, Doug E. Fresh, and Michael Bivins praised her unforgettable and one-of-a-kind sound. Since then, her voice—warm, soulful, and deeply rooted—has captivated audiences at renowned venues including Scullers Jazz Club and the Boston Hatch Shell, performing alongside internationally recognized musicians.
Born in Springfield and raised in Framingham, Massachusetts, Whitney was introduced to music through church choirs as the daughter of two Baptist ministers. She trained in classical and performance entertainment, earned her MBA, served as an Army Veteran, and remains a passionate advocate for mental health and local charitable causes.
Whitney’s rise continued with her contribution to Indie Soul United 2, which reached #2 on the U.K. Soul Chart. Her debut album Ryze of the Phoenix followed in 2016, producing charting hits such as “I Can See You And Me” and “Get Enuff.” Her momentum has only grown, with recent releases like the Sleepless EP (2021) and The 45th Chaptershowcasing her evolving style, sensuality, and global appeal.

Mike is the first musician signed by Michael Jordan to the Nike Jordan Brand, home of the Air Jordan, and is the only musician in the world to have recorded and toured with the legendary “Big Three” of American soul and pop music: Michael Jackson, Prince, and Stevie Wonder, not only as a member of the band, but as a featured soloist.
In 2023, Mike Phillips launched Keep It Moving Music (KIMM), under the SRG Jazz label imprint. He was also recently named Sr. VP of SRG Jazz at the SRG-ILS Group (distributed by UMG). He is a recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Music Business and Entrepreneurship degree, a recipient of The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award and The Georgia Citizen Award, which is the highest state-level honor given to a citizen. And notably is an amazing golfer; so, if he’s not on a stage near you, look for him on the golf course.

For over three decades, Pat Loomis has been one of the busiest and most in-demand saxophonists in the New England region. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Pat moved to Boston, MA after receiving a four-year, full tuition scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College Of Music. Christine Fawson is a jazz vocalist and freelance trumpet player known for her dynamic, old-school entertainer style. A former Berklee College of Music faculty member (2003–2017), she has performed, recorded, and taught internationally for over 20 years.
A two-time Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition finalist, Christine has worked with artists and organizations including Phil Wilson, Sherrie Maricle’s DIVA Jazz Orchestra, The Boston Pops, Adele, and Disney. She has released four albums as a leader and continues to perform at festivals and concerts worldwide.

Throughout their history, the band has shared the touring stage and recording studio with Bruce Springsteen's saxophonist, Clarence Clemons for a series of critically acclaimed performances. They have been featured on television, appearing on MTV's video countdown program "The Basement Tapes", and more recently, an episode of "The Family Guy".
